My Birthday Haul from Althea Korea

IMG_9277Yes, you’ve read it right, it’s my birthday haul! I just turned a year older last month (April), and with that, I decided to gift myself a box of Korean skincare products from Althea. You might be wondering: what’s so special about this haul? I buy stuff from Althea every month and surely, a box like this sounds quite normal for me.

First of all, it is special because I bought it using the birthday money that I received. Second, this box has eight items in it–more than the usual number of items that I would get. And third, this whole haul slightly costs more than the amount that I would usually spend for an Althea Haul.

Also, on my birthday itself, I received 100 Points from a purchase made using my referral link. Thanks Car! You really made me happy! You guys should check out her blog, she likes talking about skincare and beauty as well. I used those points, along with a 10% off code because I reviewed a previous purchase, for this haul.

Sooo… what are the products that I got for my birthday haul and why did I get them?

Despite this being a gift for myself, the items that I bought are items that I actually need. These items are backups of the products that I’m using in my current skincare routine that I’m about to run out soon. The only items that I bought out of curiosity were the Innisfree Capsule Recipe Packs–I’ve decided to hold buying clay/mud masks because I have way too many already and I’m not sure if I can use them all before they expire.

Innisfree Tangerine Vita C Serum – After everything that I’ve learned about Vitamin C and the wonders that it can do to my skin, I’ve decided that it should be on my daily routine. Originally, I wanted Dear Klairs’ Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop, but it was out of stock just when I have decided to do a haul. I opted for this one instead because although I’ve only heard of the product the moment I searched “Vitamin C” on Althea’s search box, I’m quite confident with Innisfree.

Caolion Pore Tightening Day and Night Glowing Duo – I was running out of my current day cream and I was quite torn if I should repurchase or try a different cream. Adding this product to my list was the most difficult decision that I did with this haul. Firstly because I only wanted a day cream but when I searched for the Caolion day cream alone, it was much more expensive compared to buying this duo. Also, I was really thinking of putting this product off the list because it’s more expensive than my current cream. But then again, the day cream has EVERYTHING–I mean, EVERYTHING–that I want on my face. Rice Bran Water! Honey Extract! Snail Secretion Filtrate! My favorite ingredients! I cannot say no to this baby. The night cream didn’t sound as tempting to me as the day cream, but it won’t hurt me to try. So I decided t give it a go. (But deep inside me I still want to keep an extra bottle of Onsameein’s Perfect Moisture Cream.)

Aritaum Ginger Sugar Lip Scrub – after all the lip fiasco that I had the past few weeks, I realized that having a lip scrub would be handy. So I put this in my bag.

Innisfree Capsule Recipe Packs – In Canola Honey, Green Tea, and Aloe. These are ingredients that are quite famous for doing wonders to the skin thus I decided to purchase them. Also, I’m a frequent traveller. It would be easy for me to bring masks in smaller containers like this than to bring a large tub.

Elizavecca Gold CF-Nest White Eye Bomb Cream – I found this product in the sale section of Althea. I’m almost out of my current daily eye cream (Etude House’s Honey Cera Priming Eye Serum) and I didn’t want to use my current night eye cream during the day, so I searched for a lightweight eye cream for my morning ritual. The advertising they had at the Althea website had me. It was so convincing! They say that this can help lessen the wrinkles and brighten the under eyes so that the user would look more alive and fresh. I just hope that it’s true.

Milky Dress Take Care Mist – I’m not really familiar with the brand Milky Dress, but I saw this product while I was looking for a face mist in Althea and it looks promising. It’s also inexpensive (320php) so I decided to give it a try. I realized that I should start bringing a face mist with me especially whenever I travel because my face can get really dehydrated during the plane flight or during half day-long road trips with no access to fresh air.

Dear Klairs Rich Soothing Sheet Mask – These sheet masks are quite popular among bloggers and other skincare enthusiasts, so I decided to add two of them on my list too experience its wonders first hand.

All in all, the products in this haul are mainly “try” products. By try products, I mean products that aren’t really popular, or products that are quite unnoticed by a number of people (although they came from famous brands) but they seem to deliver good effects based on the advertising. I honestly don’t remember reading or watching about the majority of the products above. I just chose what I can find in the website. I thought that it would be a good practice to try out new products rather than just going with the trends. Although of course, when it comes it skincare, the trends are very reliable because they’re already tested and there’s a huge percent that they would work wonderfully compared to the probability of these not-so-discovered products giving us flawless skin. I guess having my wishlisted products out of stock also has an upside because it forces me to try these products.

Right now, I’m thinking of buying a new essence and a Korean acne solution cream/gel. Also, although I’m staring to love my current emulsion, I’m now researching which emulsion I should purchase next. So guys, watch out for the next haul!

Second Althea Korea Haul

IMG_8636

Yay! Another box of my beloved skincare products from Korea! I have had a couple of transactions with Althea Korea already, but some of them does not really count as a “haul” because they were Althea Boxes–a pre-selected set of products that follows a certain theme and sold collectively per box. In this haul, I handpicked each and every item in the box. Thus, this by far is just my second Althea Korea haul. It actually feels weird that this is only the second, I feel like I buy something from Althea almost every other week.

(RELATED: Althea Korea Skincare Haul)

As much as possible, I try to avoid buying too many products, especially when I still have something that I can use. However, I don’t want to purchase products individually. A single product always has to go with something when I buy them. The items in this haul had been sitting in my Althea bag for quite some time already, I just don’t have enough reason to checkout. Thus, when I realized that I was already running out of toner, I decided that it’s already time for me to do my second haul.

Also, I had a 10% discount code for reviewing one of my purchases (wait for Althea Korea to email you and offer a discount when you review your latest purchase), I also had 100 referral points from my sister’s successful purchase through my referral code. I actually love and hate this point system that they have because it always makes me come back. Also, the one month expiration of the 10% discount coupons does not really help at all. Not using them and using them will make me regret things either way.

(RELATED: My Sister’s Very First Althea Korea Haul)

Here’s a list of the products from my haul and why I bought them:

Benton Snail Bee High Content Skin (885php)– As I have mentioned earlier, I was prompted to make this haul because I was running out of toner. This one from Benton wasn’t really my first choice, but just as I have finally decided to order, my toner of choice ran out of stock. Since purchasing a toner was a necessity, I went and looked for another toner to purchase and found this. I have always wanted to try incorporating Snail Mucin in it on my skincare routine, and I have always trusted the bees for skin nourishment. This seemed to be a popular product, so I decided to go with this instead.

Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask (740php)– I’ve been wanting this for the longest time. Lately, I’ve been looking for lipcare products that will replace the ones in my current routines, especially my evening routine because I’m almost out of my current lip balm. This gave me the opening to finally decide and purchase this lip mask. I have read and watched reviews about this and I have been really curious because it’s a mask. It seemed more appropriate to use before bedtime compared to the regular lip balm.

CP-1 Raspberry Treatment Vinegar (350php)– Raspberry had been my hair’s signature scent for three years until Watsons stopped selling Clairol Long Term Relationship Shampoo and Conditioner. I did not know where to find my beloved hair treatments anymore and I couldn’t find anything that had the raspberry scent with it until I found this product. Also, I’m looking for something that will tame my hair so I can quit going for a hair rebonding treatment every year. Hope this product helps me.

Innisfree No-Sebum Mineral Powder (260php)– My sister purchased this product in her haul and I tried it once. It totally helped reduce the shine/dewy effect of my sun cream in the morning and I love how it’s not as cake-y as my current face powder, so I decided to get one for myself.

Innisfree Daily UV Protection Cream (No Sebum) (494php)– This, I think is the less popular sun protection cream from Innisfree. I can understand because this only has SPF 35 while the other one has SPF 50. However, while I was comparing both products, this one is said to have a matte finish–and you know how much I prefer a matte finish compared to the dewy finish of most skincare products. This is perfect for mornings especially when I’m in a hurry and I have no time to fix my greasy-looking face after a layer of moisturizer and other skincare.

All in all, including the discount, this box costs P2,356.10. Not bad for 5 items.

I’ve made it a rule that whenever I do a haul, the total must be less than 2,500php. Which is why although I still have a few more items in mind, I decided to save them for my next haul and hope that they won’t be out of stock when that day comes. I don’t want to buy a lot of things all at once, especially when they’re not that necessary yet. And I also don’t want to find myself broke after buying a truckload of products that could wait until I use them. I need to budget my expenditures to sustain my skincare obsession and my other needs. I’m not forcing myself to buy products so I’ll have something to talk about–I don’t have that much allowance and space in my pad for that. Also, I still have a few products that I haven’t reviewed yet–I don’t see myself running out of things to post in the near future. I’ll just buy things according to necessity, and of course, curiosity.

Also, I am not a perfect person, and there may be times when temptation is strong. However, I will still try my best and be a good and responsible girl.

P.S. My next Althea Korea haul is an exemption because it’s my birthday gift for myself.

Until my next haul,

Meesh ❤

My Sister’s Very First Althea Korea Haul

IMG_7832

Finally, a decent photo on my blog! Before anything else, I would like to express how happy I am that I was finally able to post an artsy photo here because taking instagram-worthy shots is actually one of my favorite things to do, it’s just that my current job made it impossible for me to take photos during daytime and find areas where I can take some nice shots. Which is why most of the photos is this blog were obviously half-baked, or were just taken for the sake of visual aid. I apologize for that–I try my best to put creativity in my photos. But as of now, the only decent place where I do all the photography is the very small table in my apartment that can barely get good lighting. However, I still try my best to make my instagram look fancy, go on and check it out!

Okay, I’m not with my irrelevant rambling. The real post starts after this sentence!

I’ve just started obsessing over skincare products a few months ago. I’d bring something new almost every week and tell my mom, my aunt, and my sister about it. Since my sister is a really huge fan of Korean dramas, the Korean products that I bring home are always something that would interest her. She’d ask me questions about this and that, and ask me to suggest products for her oily and acne-prone skin, and I would gladly answer. I gave her some of my products and allowed her to try on some of my favorites. Slowly, she started doing her own research for her skincare needs and would ask me for help on where to find them.

Of course, I seized the moment and gave her my referral link to Althea Korea. She’s still a student thus discounts and other promotional events would really mean a lot to her savings. March is her birth month thus she had a few extra bucks to spend for herself, and I’m just glad that she chose to spend her birthday money on skincare! So there, I helped her choose the products that I think would be perfect for her.

IMG_7837

My sister has oily skin thus I suggested that she get something that has Tea Tree in it. We also had to consider her budget so we got the cheapest one that we can find in the website. She had so many tabs opened but ended up choosing Natural Pacific’s Tea Tree Fresh Essence. She has always enjoyed my clay masks and wanted to have one for herself. Thus she got Innisfree’s Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask–I’ve read that this one is designed for oily skin, while the non-super one (which I have) is for those with normal skin. I think she’s done her research well and read a few good things about Innisfree so she bought the No-Sebum Mineral Powder and the Perfect UV protection cream. As for the last product that she bought, (the honey-colored bottle up there)I really have no idea what that is. The whole package is in Korean she she told me that it’s something for the hair. So, I’m like, okay! Your money, your choices.

She couldn’t wait to get her hands on her package and she kept on pestering me about it. I’m equally as excited for her as she was, but I know the drill already when it comes to Althea Korea. I told her to keep calm and stay classy. Lol. She tracked her package almost every day and when she found out that it’s ready for pickup, she asked me to come with her.

I live in a dorm and my sister lives at home, and I wouldn’t allow her to open her package without me so I told her to open her package in a nearby coffee shop so I can also see what’s in it. She was so excited that she wouldn’t even let me help her get all the packaging tape off the package. Lol.

IMG_7820

Look at that satisfied look on her face!

IMG_7821

IMG_7827

Checking out the items she spent her money with. (Is this worth it? Am I sure with what I’m doing? Lol)

IMG_7825

My sister with her children! For more generations to come!

I haven’t heard anything from her ever since she got her products. But I do think that she’s loving all of them because if she isn’t, I’ll be the first person to know. I’m going to see her in a while and give her some of the products from my own shelf that I think would be better for her and ask her of her opinion on the products she bought.

UNBOXING: Althea Korea Sample Set

I love freebies. I wasn’t planning on ordering anything from Althea Korea until I got my Anti-Pollution box, but then I saw this post on Facebook saying that they’re giving away free samples–and of course, the shopaholic in me was triggered. I actually tried preventing myself from getting this set by thinking that I should wait until tomorrow if I still liked it, but then again I thought that this was a pretty good deal and I know that if I wait until the next day, this set will be gone. Anyway, it’s for free! The only thing I had to pay was the 250php shipping fee and I’ll be having a good set of samples. There’s almost nothing to lose. So without further ado, I added the product to my bag and immediately went to checkout. I didn’t even think of purchasing other products because I can’t think of anything during that moment, I just wanted the samples.

order-confirmed

Good thing I decided to purchase it because after a few hours, it was already out of stock. I may be a jerk for just ordering free stuff, but hey! I buy a lot of things from this site and they actually allowed me to order the sample set alone. Don’t worry Althea, I’ll definitely come back and order items that I will have to pay for next time.

I ordered this Sample Set last February 6th and it arrived February 14th (a really sweet Valentine gift from Althea), but I was only able to get my hands on it on February 20th because I was out of town. The courier actually delivered this at home but there was no one was there whenever he comes over so I guess he just stopped trying after this second try. So after coming back in town, I immediately contacted LBC and asked them how I can get my package. They told me to pick up the package in their warehouse instead as they cannot leave this package in any other LBC outlet unless the shipper notifies them.

(Side story: while I was waiting for my package, I can see the guy who updates their online tracker busy updating their website. I almost wanted to approach him and tell him about my emotional breakdown a few days ago because of LBC’s unreliable tracking system. But instead I remained calm and waited for my package. Grace under torture.)

So when I got my package, I was honestly surprised how light it was because in the Althea website, it looked really packed. I searched for the Sample Set on the website the moment I got my hands on my laptop, but this was the only thing I found:

althea-discontinued

Guess I did the right decision in availing this giveaway.

Anyway, the website had three sample sets and I was supposed to compare and find out which set I got (they give them away randomly). Too bad I can’t find any photo or website that had a copy of their giveaway.

img_7149

The set came with their smallest box (forgive me for the shadow, that was the best I could do at that moment). It was so light it almost felt like nothing was in it.

img_7152

Tadaaaa!!! My sample set! Unlike regular Althea purchases, this one didn’t come with a bubble wrap per product, thank you cards, and pink paper thingies. The box was still covered in bubble wrap, by the way. I’m not complaining, though. I’m just telling how it looked like. After all, I got all these things for free, and I am thankful that even though I didn’t purchase any product, Althea still sent me this. I mean seriously, how many stores would allow that? We should be happy that the faeries at Althea are very generous.

img_7153

I was actually hoping I would get the set with Laneige samples, but this one’s good too. I mean, I’ve been dying to try IOPE products and the Acwell Aqua Weekly Sleeping recharger was actually on my wishlist!

Here’s a breakdown of each sample in the box:

img_7155

One of the items that I am really happy to receive was this Iope Moistgen Skin Hydration Special Gift Set. Simply because I love skincare sample sets, and I’ve heard a lot of great things about Iope and I want to purchase something from this brand soon, I just don’t know what I should buy. Hopefully this set will help me decide.

img_7154

This skincare set includes a softener, emulsion, serum and an eye cream–all from the same Moistgen Skin Hydration range. I’m almost out of my Moistfull Collagen skincare sample set (which I only use during travels) and this set it just in time for replacement.

img_7156

Banila Co. Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm – This is the best product inside the box for me. I just recently started adding a first cleanser in my routine, and I actually have this product in full size. I absolutely love it but sadly, it isn’t travel friendly. Although it doesn’t spill and all, the whole thing just takes too much space. This sampler is very convenient for me because I can bring it anywhere and do my double cleansing.

img_7157

Acwell Aqua Weekly Sleeping Recharger – This product is actually on my wishlist–well, whole 7-day pack–so I’m glad they gave me these even before I bought it. These products were supposed to come with five more packs to complete the whole week, but they only gave me the last two which are supposed to do some moisture wrapping, and to return moisture. I honestly don’t know when I’ll be able to use these products as they are supposed to come with 5 more steps to complete the whole cycle. But anyway, I’ll try to figure things out.

img_7158

Aromatica Rose First Absolute Serum – This product is absolutely foreign to me. I haven’t heard about it before although I’m quite familiar with the brand. I’ve just recently read about this product, and it uses interesting ingredients such as the bulgarian damask rose oil. I’ve heard about how that ingredient can do wonders to the skin but I’ve never had the chance to try it. So I guess this product will help me figure out if that oil is worth investing.

img_7159

Aqua Blossom White Effect O.L.E.D. Cream – I would usually stay away from whitening creams because I already have a fair complexion and I wouldn’t want my face to look lighter than the rest of my body. Anyway, I will still try this sample for the sake of it.

img_7160

Witch’s Pouch Real Skin Moisture Ampoule Base – I’ve browsed through this product’s information in the link provided and it says that this is a winter base makeup. Well, there’s no winter in our country thus investing in this product for regular use is already a no. However, I will still try this product as my family has plans on spending Christmas somewhere out of the country and I will definitely need skincare for the winter. By the way, if you guys have winter skincare recommendations, please let me know!

img_7161

Mamonde Narcissus Hydrating Flower Essence Mask – An addition to my growing collection of sheet masks! I haven’t tried anything Mamonde yet but I’ve heard of it before and I know it is also widely used by skincare enthusiasts. Can’t wait to try this!

From all the products listed above, I can conclude that Althea Korea gave me the Hydrating/Moisturizing set. I honestly don’t remember what the sets were but each of them has a certain area of concern. Aside from acne-combatting products, my skincare routine is also focused on moisturizing and hydrating–which makes this sample set perfect for helping me find the products that my skin needs.

I absolutely love skincare samples and I would have honestly ordered more than one set if Althea Korea allowed it. But since these samples aren’t really for sale and you only get them if you purchase products and/or when stores like Althea Korea are nice enough to give them out for free without any purchase. I know samples aren’t rare when it comes to Korean brands, but let us just be thankful for their existence. They prevent us from spending a lot of cash on products that we might regret buying.

If you want to score more discounts and freebies for your beauty and skincare needs, Althea Korea promises you the cheapest prices and the most generous freebies and promotional offers.

Here’s 350php off your first purchase if you sign up through this link.

I hope you find the perfect set of products for you!

XOXO,

Meesh 🙂

UNBOXING: Althea Anti-Pollution Box plus CosRX Natural BHA Skin Returning A-Sol (also, an LBC rant.)

img_7111

I have always dreamed of opening a box of goodies filled with random items. It kinda gives that feeling that I’m receiving a present–although it’s from myself, I didn’t handpick the products inside the box and I don’t know if I’m going to like it or not. So it’s as if I just received a gift from someone else. It has the uncertainty of liking everything in the box but at the same time all the things in it are something that I’d be glad to receive.

Which is why I am so happy that Althea has special edition boxes–in which each month they come up with a certain theme and gather 6 or more products in that theme, put it in a box and sell it in a heavily discounted price–much like a subscription box, but with Althea Boxes, you just have to choose the boxes that you want to have. You are not compelled to subscribe monthly and pay for boxes that you might not be interested with. Also, these boxes usually come with full size products but they have almost the same price as subscription boxes. Subscription boxes on the other hand, are filled with sample-sized products with only one or two in full size. I can really say that Althea boxes are really inexpensive and worth the investment

When I placed an order on Althea’s Anti-Pollution Box, I was originally thinking about purchasing a sunscreen and a cleansing oil in Etude House. And since I am a skincare crazy woman, I was also thinking of buying some other things like a new eye cream, moisturizer, etc. (whatever I may find interesting) as well. And I know that if I get both the sunscreen and cleansing oil, I will not have enough budget to buy other products. For a moment there I was crazy thinking of what items should I prioritize when I go shopping, and that’s when I thought of this Anti-Pollution box. It has both the cleansing oil/balm and the sunscreen that I want, and it has other products that looks quite interesting as well. So without batting an eyelash, I went to Althea’s website and purchased the box along with CosRX’s Natural BHA Skin Returning A-Sol (these babies sell out like crazy so when I saw them available, I immediately put it in my bag!)

img_7112

The Anti-Pollution Box costs 1,450php at 71% off (originally worth 5,020php) while the CosRX Natural BHA Skin Returning A-Sol costs 810php. I also used 150 points and a coupon code that they gave me from my previous purchase. All in all this package only costed me 1,972.3php. I saved 3,857.7php!

Click here if you want a discount from Althea.kr 🙂

I wasn’t really expecting on getting the limited edition Chinese New Year box because I placed my order on February 1st, but I’m glad I was able to get the box! It had an Angpao along with it so I guess I will be going back to Althea within the month (the discount coupon is only available until February 28th)

img_7114

img_7113

The box has a few dents, which is obviously unavoidable because of the shipping–and I’m totally okay with it because at least I was still able to get my hands on this box. I almost went gaga thinking that this box might have been lost in the shipping or even worse, stolen.

My first purchase in Althea was really smooth, I got the items in less than 10 days. Although the delivery man had trouble looking for my house–but that was the only problem I encountered with that transaction. This one, on the other hand, gave me sleepless nights.

Upon checkout, they gave me a notification that shipping may be delayed due to the holidays. Well, yeah, I was expecting that but I was also kinda hoping that Althea will still be the amazing online store that she is and would give me a fast transaction with only one or two days delay. But then again a week has passed and still they didn’t email me that my package has been shipped so I kinda worried and emailed their customer service. Their customer service representative immediately replied the day after but he only told me that my package will be delayed–which honestly wasn’t the answer I was hoping to get. I sent them a question asking what is the specific status of my purchase and they gave me a generic answer. I was a bit disappointed, but gladly the “Your Althea.kr order has been shipped” email arrived in my inbox the next day. I was immediately relieved.

Days before that I decided to change my shipping address because I’m thinking that no one might be home when my order arrives so I emailed them to deliver it in the nearest LBC branch so I can pick it up there instead. This request was processed immediately and the shipping address was changed. Kudos to Althea to that!

However, when my package arrived, I was out of town and a guy from LBC called me, asking for some clarifications regarding the shipping address. I then asked him if I can still pickup my package on Saturday (he called on Monday, February 13th) and he said that all packages has 10 days pendency before they return the package to the sender.

So the whole week I was busy doing some work stuff, LBC kept on texting me every day to get my package, and I did reply saying that I’ll get it on Saturday. I was thinking that things were going smooth for me until…

I decided to track my order.

It says on the LBC website that my package was already claimed by me. WOW. And it was already 1am that time so I can’t contact LBC regarding the status of my package. I got really worried, I can’t sleep–I immediately started thinking about life, my previous mistakes, my dreams that never materialized into reality and how I was unhappy about some things going on–basically I just had an existential crisis (well, I do have existential crisis, but it was enormously heightened that night). I had to bother a few friends through text and chat because I really needed someone to talk to. At around 3am all my depressing thoughts lowered and I was able to sleep– but not quite peacefully because I woke up two hours later. By that time I was already thinking of accepting the sad truth that my package is now gone and I just have to go on with my life and forget about it. On the other hand I was ready to prove that it wasn’t me who claimed my package in case it was indeed claimed by someone pretending to be me. I was already thinking of presenting them the text messages that I sent saying that I’ll pick it up Saturday and showing them my boarding pass as proof that I wasn’t in town to claim my package. Basically I was in the middle of giving up and fighting. I’m getting so worked up just because of this. I even hated myself for ordering too many skincare products. I thought this was my punishment for being vain.

So, moment of truth, the moment I arrived in the airport, I immediately rushed to my LBC branch to pick up my package–or to debate with the people there– I was calm the whole time because I was still hoping that it might just be an error on LBC’s side and it turns out that IT WAS INDEED AN ERROR.

My package was unclaimed. No one signed my name in that list that they had. I COULD HAVE NOT HAD MY MIND GOING CRAZY IF I DIDN’T TRACK MY ORDER ON THE LBC WEBSITE.

SO LBC, IF YOU’RE READING THIS, GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER.

Although this error gave me so much stress and triggered the emotional damage that I’ve been trying to conceal since the beginning of time, I’m just glad that I was able to have my hands on my precious skincare products. I don’t know how LBC handles cases of lost or stolen packages, but I do hope that they give great compensation because even though my babies were safe, we don’t know what might happen next. I still have a lot of plans for my online shopping which needs a lot of LBC’s involvement.

This is just one mistake, or possibly misunderstanding. I still trust the Hari ng Padala.

img_7115

Look at all them pretty things! You guys have no idea how happy and how relieved I am to see them. I thought I lost them forever, but now they’re safe in under my care.

These are all the products inside Althea’s Anti-Pollution box. I won’t be discussing each product one by one here so if you want information on them, click this link.

img_7116

They put the CosRX Natural BHA Skin Returning A-Sol in a separate box since it’s not included in the Anti-Pollution box. I’m happy about this because that means more boxes! I use these things for storage because I’m a mess at all times. And they’re pretty, who wouldn’t love them?

I’m still thinking of how I would incorporate these items in my daily and nightly skincare routine. Since all of these products are light, I think they’re perfect for morning use, but of course some of them will be used for my evening routine too. I can’t wait to start using all of them. You guys are definitely going to see more of these products in my future posts.

Before I end this post, here’s a link that will give you a nice discount from Althea.

Until then! XOXO,

Meesh

Althea Korea Skincare Haul

Korea is very famous when it comes to skincare.  As I was looking for the perfect products that I wanted to use for my face, I came across this website that ships Korean Skincare Products straight from Korea to the Philippines! And apparently, they were on a sale that time, I get 1000php less if I purchase 3000php worth of products–which means I only got to spend 2000php on all those items in the photo above! It was a really good deal so I didn’t think twice and placed my order. Also, I had been eyeing some of those Korean products for quite some time now and there’s no other way to get my hands on them but through online purchase. Seeing all these products before my eyes really made me happy because I felt like I was finally a part of the skincare community whatsoever.

The product arrived 8 days after I placed my order, two days earlier than I expected! According to the website, the product should arrive in 10-15 days. I’m relatively new to online shopping so early delivery really amazes me.

The box was really pretty and durable. It can be reused as storage or if you’re planning to wrap someone a gift for their birthday and the gift didn’t come with a box, you can use this. Just hope that they won’t expect for products from Althea!

This is how the box looked like when I opened it. The products were all securely wrapped in bubble wrap and it was all arranged neatly to fit the box. It’s nice how pink and green dominated the whole picture because they really complimented each other–which made the package look like candy.

Above is a list of the products that I bought. This list was on the pink plastic packaging of the box. I will explain why I bought each and every product starting with the very first one on the list above.

  • Nature Republic Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel – this was actually the very last product that I added in my bag. I needed to reach 3000php so I can avail of their promo and after totaling everything that I put in my bag, I only reached 2,900-ish so I had to add something more. I was thinking of adding a few sheet masks instead, but I realized that those things are readily available in the nearest mall so I decided to check the website’s best sellers instead and add the most interesting and inexpensive item that I can find there, and I found this product.
  • Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Clay Mask – I have read a lot of reviews about this product and the Super Volcanic one, so I decided to purchase one for myself.
  • Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Foam – I simply wanted to try another product from Innisfree and I found this. I have also heard a lot regarding how volcanic ash from Jeju Island can help prevent acne and acne is one of my major skincare problems.
  • Innisfree Green Barley Gommage Peeling Mask – I have always been interested in exfoliating and I wanted to try a peeling mask because it seemed to be fun to use. So I searched for a peeling mask in their website and came along this one. It’s Innisfree and it’s one of the products that I’m quite familiar with due to the recommendations that I’ve read online so I chose this one.
  • COSRX Low PH Good Morning Gel Cleanser – This product was one of the reasons why I was looking at online shops because this is so famous among skincare enthusiasts and I am sure that this isn’t locally available in my place. There are a lot of skincare products that I would love to have my hands on but sadly, most of them were out of stock. I am just so relieved that this one isn’t so I immediately put this is my bag without hesitation.

After receiving my first bag from Althea, I was already thinking of getting another set of products from them because of the good service that I received. I cannot wait and experience these Korean skincare products on my face. I am praying that I’ll have no regrets with this set of products because they all look so promising and I have a very high regard on Korean products.

However, this does not mean that I’ll be limiting my skincare products to Korean products instead. I’m still open to use western and local products which is why I’m planning on purchasing from a different website before I purchase an all-Korean set of products from Althea once more… but let’s see about that. The variety of Korean products look so exciting.

If you’re planning on making a purchase on Althea, here’s my referral link which will give you 350php off your first purchase. Enjoy! 🙂

XOXO,

Meesh
