PRODUCT EXPERIENCE: Dear Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop

It is about time that I talk about the product that changed my life! I have already mentioned on this blog post about the wonders of Vitamin C, thus I will not dwell on how this serum from Dear Klairs should work, instead I’ll tell you guys how it worked for me.

As you guys know, I got this product last June from an Althea Haul (related: May 2017 Althea Korea Haul (Also, where was I the past few days?) and I immediately started using it the week after I got my box. Mainly because this serum has been on my wishlist for the longest time, but I was only able to purchase it last May because it always goes out of stock in Althea. Also, the amazing effects of my Body Shop Vitamin C SPF got me really stoked to try anything that has Vitamin C on it.

Since I have read that people with sensitive skin should test this first before applying it directly to the face, I first tried using it by mixing two drops of this serum on my Nature Republic Aloe Vera Gel. As expected, it didn’t have any result in the first application, but I somehow loved the feel of the mixture on my face. It wasn’t sticky, and it absorbed fast–leaving a really smooth and supple finish. It was a completely different texture from just putting the Aloe Vera Gel alone.

So, for a month I used Dear Klair’s Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop in the same way, every morning and evening. Guys, you know that I started using Korean Skincare since January 2017, and I have noticed positive results on my face, people were saying that I look whiter and my skin looked smoother–but, only after using this product did I really feel like there was something phenomenal going on. While I was still mixing it with my moisturizer, I noticed that my skin cleared up. Small scars slowly disappeared and the hyperpigmentation on my face was gone. There was this area on my left temple that has a bluish shade that has been there since forever–and although no one really notices it because it only looked like small hair, I notice it every time I look in the mirror. But after religiously using this Vitamin C serum, I just can’t find it on my face anymore, and that simple change amazed me to the core.

Thus, after a month of mixing it with my moisturizer. I’ve decided to start applying it directly on my face after my essence. My skin had a positive response to this change, and I’ve noticed that my face actually looked brighter and my skin texture became even. There were less bumps, and I have said this once and I said it again, the skin was smoother, and somehow, it looked very different from my skin before. Also, I started using this in the morning alone because I have a different AHA serum in the evening.

IMG_5082This is how my Dear Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop bottle looks like now. As you can see, the shiny label is almost erased off.

Now, you guys might think that I am overpraising this serum from Dear Klair’s because I also use other products and those other products might have also contributed to the wonders that is happening to my skin right now. But guys, mind you, among all the products that I currently use, this one is the most that I have been religious to. There was not a day I never used this, and I bring this to my travels–and when I’m travelling, my skincare routine changes, but this one remains in the routine. The only difference is that, I use this product twice, both morning and evening when I’m travelling. I only use this in the morning on normal days.

After a month, I changed my essence and I realized that the essence was thicker than this serum. Thus, to follow the light to heavy order, I decided to apply this first before my essence–and that has been going on for almost a month now. And things are still doing good, and doing better.

It started turning yellowish after three months of using it. However, according to my ~*research*~, the slight change of color of this product does not affect its effectivity because of the kind of Vitamin C used here. (check this out for more info)

IMG_5086 This is how yellow the product is now.

It still feels warm on the skin when applied up until this very day. I’m halfway done with the whole bottle and I have been using it for five months now. Therefore I can say that is serum is really worth every single penny I’ve spent on it.

I haven’t decided yet if I should repurchase it later or if I should look for a different Vitamin C serum to try. But guys, this product is so good, I’m not sure if anything else can be better. I recommend this to everyone who wants better skin, and for those who might have sensitive skin, just put two drops of this on your moisturizer so it wouldn’t come too strong.

By the way, for better results, leave it on your face for 10-20 minutes before applying the next product.

I hope this post helped you a lot, and if you have other vitamin C suggestions, please comment down below.

Thank you and I hope we all achieve that smooth glowing skin that we all want! ❤

Nature Republic 92% Aloe Vera Gel Review

Hey everyone! I’m back with a review for one of my favorite skincare products, Nature Republic’s 92% Aloe Vera Gel.

IMG_4033

This is actually one of the very first products that I bought when I was still starting with Korean Skincare. To be honest, I really had no idea how famous this was when I added it to my cart, I only added it because I needed to reach a certain amount of purchase in Althea Korea to avail of a discount and I didn’t know what else to add on my cart so I went to their best sellers tab and found this. It looks promising and I’v actually heard a lot of good things about Aloe Vera so I chose this one.

(related: Althea Korea Skincare Haul)

I didn’t start using this immediately because I was using a moisturizer that I really loved back then, and I felt like this product was a skincare basic and I wanted to explore more so… I kept this gel in my stash for months before I finally incorporated it with my daily routine.

(related: Product Review: The Body Shop Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet)

(also related:2016 Skincare Routine)

I first tried using this around February, it was traumatizing because the day after, I got a really horrible breakout and pimples were all over my face (and pimples were never all over my place before!!!) so I got discouraged with this thinking that I may have had an allergic reaction to it. After that, I didn’t bother with any product with Aloe Vera in it, afraid that I might get uglier.

But then I gave this gel a second chance when I used it to help me sooth a burning sensation on my nose area after I had colds, I think I was wayyy to rough when wiping my nose with a tissue which scratched the skin surface. Clearly, I cannot continue with my skincare routine because putting product on the affected area hurts like hell. And since this was a soothing gel, I tried putting a chunk of it on my nose area for thirty minutes. After that, my skin felt so much better and I was actually able to do my routine without feeling any pain.

Also, another factor that made me take the risk of using aloe vera once again was the fact that I used an unfamiliar sheet mask on my face the day I tried this gel. That sheet mask was just given to me and I tried googling it but nothing came out—I tried it anyway. I was weighing the possibility that the sheet mask might have caused the breakout and not this gel. With it’s satisfying effect on my skin, I was convinced that this aloe vera can never be something I’m allergic with.

Thus, before anything else, do some research with your products first before using them, aaaaaand avoid introducing two new products at once to your skin. It will be hard for you to decipher which one caused a reaction, whatsoever.

(related: Skincare Tips to Live By)

Anyway, I started using this Aloe Vera gel on a daily basis around May or June, and so far it has been good to me. At first I didn’t like it because I was never a fan of the “dewy glow” that everyone has been raving about, I’m more like a matte type of person, but I was able to solve my problem with that by using loose powder.

What I like the most about this gel is that it isn’t heavy, I can use it in the morning without worrying that my face might end up too sticky or too oily for the world to see. This actually started off as my day cream until I ran out of my evening cream and since I still had a lot of this product and it feels like I won’t be running out of it soon, I started using this in the evening as well, although there are times when I use a heavier moisturizer or cream instead because there are days when my nose area would just flake and it needs extra moisture.

IMG_4035

But I still prefer using this on a daily basis because I never felt any burning sensation on my face anymore since the day I started using this, and I’m actually starting to appreciate the dewy finish that this product has every night after I’m done with my skincare routine.

My most favorite thing about this gel is that it’s very inexpensive yet there’s a lot of product and it could probably last for a year if used moderately. I only need a small scoop (less than the size of a small coin) to have my whole face covered. It’s totally worth the price!

I think the only downfall of this product is that it’s too bulky, hence it’s not really travel friendly and since the gel is too light, and it’s in a tub without a scoop, it can be unhygienic. I personally scoop my product using a spatula that I got from a different cream. I would appreciate this Aloe Vera gel more if it’s in a squeeze bottle, or something more travel friendly. As for the volume and the price, I have no complaints–I totally got wayyy more than I paid for, and for a gel that has very visible results after a short time of using it, I would say that this product is indeed an investment and I wouldn’t hesitate to stash this in my drawer. Although I honestly think that there’s no need to stash because this product doesn’t run out easily and it’s better to just buy one when you’re running out of the tub you’re using (in my own opinion.) but that depends on your preference. Either way, I would still recommend this for all skin types.

That’s all for Nature Republic’s 92% Aloe Vera Soothing Gel. I hope this review helped you in some way, I’ll be back with more skincare stories soon!

XOXO,

Meesh 🙂

Product Review: Nivea Refreshingly Soft Moisturizing Cream

IMG_8951

Hello everyone! Here’s another review for Nivea. I remember purchasing this because I had to go to Baguio City for a few days and I needed something that would prevent my skin from drying. I did not bother that much with a moisturizer before because I was afraid that my psoriasis would react badly with drugstore products. The last moisturizer that I used for my body was bought from my dermatologist and I have already stopped going to the clinic for years–ditching the moisturizer and other products as well because my skin had been tamed already, and was already doing good after months of medication. My skin didn’t need extensive observation anymore and thus I stopped going to the dermatologist and maintained my skin’s good condition with the prescribed anti-psoriasis ointment and soap. I was hesitant in trying other products for my skin because it might flare up and trigger my psoriasis.

I didn’t think I would ever need anything else for my skin (except for my face) until a recent trip to the United Kingdom where the weather ranged from 8 to 13 Celsius left my hands all itchy and flaky. It flared so bad that I was ashamed of using them in public. Big red patches stare right back at me every time I do simple things that involved using my hands. I thought I would never encounter skin problems during the trip because I used moisturizer on my face and brought my handy-dandy anti-psoriasis ointment with me–after all, I didn’t have any skin problem when we went to Hong Kong on a December without using any moisturizer. But boy, I was wrong. Thus, when I found out that we were going to Baguio, I made sure to bring a moisturizer with me.

Of course, I was hesitant to purchase a random moisturizer from the drugstore without any dermatologist or health practitioner telling me which is good and which is bad. I had to rely on my judgement thus I chose something from a brand that I have been using for years, Nivea. Although I know that the whole body must be moisturized, I only used Nivea’s Refreshingly Soft Moisturizing Cream on my hands and feet. I’m still not that keen on slathering products all over my body, thus I only chose to put this cream on areas that might be exposed with the coldness and air. They need moisture the most because they will be battling with the dryness first among everything else.

IMG_8952

It’s a very lightweight cream which spreads pretty easy on the skin without leaving any stickiness which I liked. A small amount goes a long way and it does not take much time before the skin fully absorbs the product. After application, the skin feels really soft and supple–although the product feels more like a lotion than a cream, it isn’t slippery thus it is very safe to be applied on the soles of the feet. I usually apply the cream in the morning after I take a bath and in the evening after I’m done with my nightly rituals. I don’t really carry this around thus I cannot apply it in the middle of the day, but I don’t think it’s that necessary because I don’t feel my hands and feet drying up at all.

Also, this product kind of smells like the usual Nivea products–I can’t really put a finger on it. Baby wipes? Baby powder? All I know is that I feel like a baby whenever I have this cream on because it smells like something you would use for a newborn.

Overall, I think this is a great moisturizing cream for the hands and feet. My only problem with this product is the packaging because for something really light and soft, application can get a little messy sometimes–not to mention, unhygienic. I would prefer creams with consistency similar to this to be put on a squeeze bottle to avoid using and wasting too much product. Also, this isn’t something that anyone can carry around for every day use because as I have said, it’s pretty much inconvenient to use a tub whenever or wherever compared to a squeeze bottle that you can just squeeze on your palm and put the cap on anytime and anywhere.

This moisturizing cream is very useful for colder weathers. Very moisturizing and it smoothens the skin. It prevents the skin from drying and flaking.

What’s your trusted hand and feet cream?

XOXO,

Meesh

Product Experience: Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Clay Mask

IMG_8590 (1)

I’ve had this product since January and I have been using it at least twice a week, usually the second night after every travel. And so far, I think this jar of mask could last me two years because it has a lot of product in it and I don’t really need to use a whole chunk of it to cover my whole face.

(Related:Althea Korea Skincare Haul)

IMG_8593

I love how fine the texture of this product is, it isn’t sticky and it’s not tacky at all, application is really smooth despite the thickness. A little goes a long way! It easily dries and it washes off with no hassle.

After washing off, the skin feels lighter and soft. This product is supposed to remove pimple-causing oils and other impurities from the face, and I really appreciate the fact that my skin does not feel dry after application. However, there was this one time that I accidentally put a bit of this clay on my lips, and it left my lips feeling really dry for like a week or two. No amount of my trusty lipbalm helped me with bringing back the moisture on my lips. I even tried using some exfoliators on them, hoping to remove whatever effect of this product left on my lips, but I think this mask was way too much for my lips that it completely changed whatever structure my skin had. It’s both a good thing and a bad thing because if I didn’t have this experience, I wouldn’t appreciate the power of this clay mask on my skin. It’s bad because even though my lips didn’t break due to the dryness, it would flake and it would feel extremely uncomfortable.

Using Nivea’s Lip Butter Raspberry Rose helped me solve my lip problem. If any of you guys encounter such unfortunate incident, lip butters will save your day.

Anyway, as for this product’s participation in clearing acne– I can’t really say if it helps lessen it, but I know that it doesn’t inflame any present breakout nor does it cause one. This might help in drying the acne, it’s just that I don’t really feel it.

As for the scent, it does not really have a particular scent. It simply smells like earth and clay.

This mask if meant for those with normal to dry skin types. Those with dry skin don’t have to worry about this product drying your skin further–it sucks out impure oils and leaves all the good nutrients in your skin which is why I would still feel refreshed and my skin would feel soft once I was this mask off.

For those with oily skin, another variant of this product, the Innisfree Super Volcanic Clay Mask is for you.

I totally recommend this product to everyone who does skincare. I think this is a basic. If you’re into Korean Skincare, this is a staple that you need to have.

What is your favorite face mask/clay? Let me know!

XOXO,

Meesh ❤

Product Experience: Nivea Raspberry Rose Lip Butter

IMG_8639

Caring for my lips is something that I cannot just take for granted. I have really dry lips and a day without applying any form of moisturizer on it leaves it chapped and sometimes it would crack and bleed. Ugly, I know. Which is why I’m very particular with the lip products that I use.

I have mentioned it before that it took me a very long time to find a lip balm that would satisfy my needs. I have a lot of lipbalms in my closet, hidden, because I made the mistake of purchasing them–hoping that they would help me give my lips the life I wanted it to have. They’re not generally bad, but they’re not just enough for me. But finally, I was able to find the lip products that were totally effective this year. However, I accidentally put some of Innisfree’s Jeju Volcanic Pore Clay Mask on my lips and it totally changed its texture. Suddenly, all the lip products that I was using wasn’t enough and I had to find other means to rescue my drying lips (and no, kissing won’t solve this problem.)

(RELATED: 2016 Skincare Routine)

(RELATED: My 8-Step Morning Skincare Routine)

(RELATED: My 11-Step Skincare Routine (Part 2))

I have been eyeing this particular lip butter from Nivea since last month. I was curious because it’s raspberry and I totally love the scent of raspberry. Also, Nivea is a brand that I have always trusted and I have been using their products way before I became brand conscious. Anyway, my lip problem prompted me to finally buy this lip butter. I wasn’t really hoping that this would save me because I thought that exfoliating is the answer. However, I still wanted to try this product out for the heck of it.

Also, I’m already running out of my L’occitane lip balm. I was thinking that if this lip butter works good on me, I might convert to using this instead. Although lip balms are said to be more focused on repairing and moisturizing the lips and they stay longer than lip butters. There’s nothing wrong with trying, right?

I wasn’t really expecting any drastic change from this lip butter, lip products had always disappointed me since I started using them.

IMG_8640

So this is what it looks like. Guys, I cannot stress enough how good this product smells like. It’s totally heavenly! It reminds me of Skittles and Laffy Taffy. Too bad it didn’t taste anything like that.

Its consistency is obviously buttery–creamier than the usual lip balm. It easily glides on the lips and it leaves a pinkish cast, which didn’t bother me at all. This lip butter also easily melts so I had to reapply it once or twice a day to keep my skin moisturized.

After a few days of using this product, I noticed that my lips were starting to go back to normal after the mishap that my pore clay mask caused. I’m not a skincare expert so I can’t really say how my mask changed my lips’ texture and how this product reverted it back to normal. It’s probably because this lip butter restored the moisture that the volcanic clay mask absorbed. Well, this only shows that both products does their jobs well. (I’ll post a review on my Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Clay Mask soon.)

Since then, I’ve been using this product daily. The constant reapplication didn’t bother me at all because I am totally in love with its scent, and the moisture that it provides was enough for me to feel good about my lips once more.

This product will be perfect for colder weathers because of the instant moisture that a small amount of it gives to the lips. Given that fact, I’m sure that this product will last me a really long time. I’ve used this for weeks now and yet it looks like it was only slightly used.

The only thing that needs improvement with this product is the packaging, it’s quite difficult to open. Aside from that, this lip butter is definitely a favorite.

XOXO,

Meesh ❤

Sample Review: Iope Moistgen Skin Hydration Set

IMG_8486

I got this kit for free from Althea Korea last February. They offered to give a few samples to customers and I was lucky enough to avail of it before they ran out of stock.  (related: UNBOXING: Althea Korea Sample Set) As you guys know, I’m a frequent traveller thus samples are indeed very handy for me. I don’t need to worry about my skincare routine that much and purchase a lot of small bottles where I can put a small amount of my favorite products in because I can use the opportunity to try on my samples instead.

I’ve been using the IOPE Moistgen Skin Hydration set on my last few travels. They’re only 2-3 days long at most thus I cannot really judge the long term effects of the said products, my review will be based on my first impression with the samples involved. It won’t be anything too comprehensive or too critical.

Softener – This has a light consistency which is somehow thicker than water. It absorbs very quickly into the skin.  I can say that it is indeed hydrating. Also, it leaves a slightly sticky film on the face but it goes away after a few minutes.

TO PURCHASE OR NOT TO PURCHASE? Although I like this product because it’s not that heavy, I think there are other toners/softeners there that would fit my preferences better. This product isn’t light enough for me, so, no.

Serum – Although this serum has a light creamy consistency, I find it quite sticky and difficult to apply–I had to take more than what I originally took from the bottle several times to make sure that my whole face had been covered. However, I can say that this product easily absorbs into the skin.

TO PURCHASE OR NOT TO PURCHASE? I had difficulty with this product with my first few tries thus I am unimpressed by it, so, no.

Eye Cream – I haven’t tried a lot of eye creams yet, but I think this one is my favorite. Too bad I don’t have it in full size. I like it because it’s creamy and it easily absorbs. I don’t need to worry about accidentally putting some products in my eye as I glide it carefully below my lashline.

TO PURCHASE OR NOT TO PURCHASE? PURCHASE. DEFINITELY.

Emulsion – Although it’s really difficult to get some product from the very small bottle due to its creamy consistency, I liked how smooth and easy it was to apply this emulsion. It also absorbs really quickly, but it still leaves a heavy feeling on the skin especially after all the products applied beforehand. However, that feeling gave me the assurance that this does hydrate the skin as what it promises.

TO PURCHASE OR NOT TO PURCHASE? Definitely among my choices for an emulsion.

Cream – The last among all the products but definitely not the least. This has a light creamy consistency but somehow I find it difficult to apply. This cream is quite sticky–which is an immediate turndown for me… and it feels heavy on the skin.

TO PURCHASE OR NOT TO PURCHASE? No.

All the products from this set came from the same line thus each one of them has a common trait with the others–they all have similar scents and they all have a similar hydrating feeling on the skin due to the fast absorption. These products had no negative effect on my skin–I did not breakout nor did it change anything. Also, it barely had a positive effect either. The skin only feels moisturized in the first few hours after application. When I wake up in the morning after a few good hours of sleep, my skin does not feel different at all. Which is quite disappointing because there is a change of skincare routine whenever I use this set–I deviate from my usual products–which means that it should have at least a small but noticeable effect on my skin to verify its effectiveness. My skin didn’t feel extra supple or extra smooth or extra fresh at all unlike when I try new products in which I am blown away by the immediate results. I don’t think this set does anything to my skin at all. Although I am very willing to buy a full size of the eye cream because I really liked its consistency and how smooth the application was.

I don’t really know to whom I should recommend these products, but they might give better results when used regularly. I do think that they are able to give the skin that hydration as long as they are used for a longer period of time. People with dry skin should give this line fro IOPE a try.

XOXO,

Meesh 🙂

TO PURCHASE OR NOT TO PURCHASE? Origins Out Of Trouble 10 Minute Mask

Hello everyone! I recently got myself samples of Origins masks at SM Mall of Asia for 199php each. I know that I have mentioned from my earlier post that as much as possible, I would avoid spending cash for samples, but this one is an exception. Getting freebies from Korean skincare products are easy as pie because they give them out like there’s no tomorrow. US brands, on the other hand, do not have the same practice in giving away samples. Though I know for a fact that they do give out free stuff, they’re not as generous as Korean brands. I’m just thankful that they have these products in small sample sizes so I wouldn’t have to purchase them in full size and possibly regret shedding some cash on it. I bought three samples and will be reviewing them individually in this blog. As stated in the post’s title, I will be reviewing the Out Of Trouble 10 Minute Mask for this entry.

img_6487

Out of all the three products that I purchased, this mask caught my interest the most because it says that it can rescue your skin from acne. One of my major skincare problems is acne and I would love to discover the best products that would help me with combating those pesky little imperfections.

This was how my face looked like prior to application:

img_6488-1

(I know, I don’t have the smoothest face in town! Forgive me, I’m working on it. Huhu)

As you guys can see in the photo, I have a small pimple on my chin. I had three other pimples in that same area that already minimized into a scar but this one just popped up when I thought I was finally getting rid of my acne. It was really frustrating for me because I don’t usually get pimples on that area of my face–it’s usually on my nose or right cheek–and somehow all those oil and dirt managed to find another home in my beloved face! Which is why I was really excited to try this mask, I’m really hoping that it would help me with my problem.

Aside from that pimple, I have a few little bumps scattered around my face especially on my nose, forehead, and cheeks. I honestly feel horrible every time I see them in the mirror because they just remind me of how far away I am from my fantasies of having smooth and flawless skin. I’m not quite sure if this product can help in that area as well, the least I can hope for is for it to not worsen anything.

img_6489

The product had a thick paste-like consistency. When I was scooping some of it from this small container, it felt quite heavy. But contrary to that, it was very easy to apply and to rinse off.

img_6492

It felt like I had toothpaste all over my face during application because of its consistency and the cool menthol feeling it gives. It didn’t harden in 10 minutes like how I thought it should, it’s either because I applied more product than I was supposed to or because the temperature of the room didn’t cooperate–either way, I don’t think this small issue affected the efficiency of the product. I didn’t wait for it to dry anymore because I wanted to follow the instruction and I’m afraid that it’ll damage my face if I don’t remove it after the recommended 10 minutes.

I think this product is best for people with oily skin because it effectively sucks out all the dirt, oil, and sebum from the skin. However, this mask does not leave your skin feeling dry nor dehydrated. It sucks out all the impurities and leaves all the good stuff on your skin.

img_6496

This is how my face looked like after application. I know that the changes weren’t that evident in this photo, and I surely can’t captivate the feeling that I had after I rinsed off the mask. But my skin looked lighter as well as the redness of my pimples lessened. The rough areas of my face felt smoother and I can really feel that this product helped in lessening my troubles with my face. I’m pretty much sure that with frequent use of this mask, it will give out satisfying results.

Sooo…. TO PURCHASE OR NOT TO PURCHASE? To purchase.

After trying this on, I actually used this product overnight for two consecutive days as a spot treatment for my acne. My acne is now gone but I’m still left with a scar that I will still have to figure out how to get rid off.

Also, the saleslady told me that this sample is only good for one to two applications, but I think this can last for at least five applications. the 199php that I spent for this sample is totally worth it.

Until then! XOXO,

Meesh 🙂

TO PURCHASE OR NOT TO PURCHASE: Etude House Moistfull Collagen Facial Freshener, Emulsion, and Cream Sample Review

Hello everyone! I know it’s been a week since my last update. I was out of town and I didn’t bring my laptop with me so I wasn’t able to update even though I had been dying to. However, I did bring some of the sample products that I had during my travel so I would be compelled to try them all. I had more than enough sample products to last me a week which led me to come up with this series: TO PURCHASE OR NOT TO PURCHASE? This will be a series of sample reviews in which I will evaluate the sample products that I have and decide whether I’ll purchase it full size or not.

Now, as for my sample sources, rest assured I will only stick to the freebies that stores give out every purchase unless if the store does legally sell samples. I don’t want to purchase them because I want to save my money for the full size products that are absolutely worth my money. But I might shed some cash if there’s an interesting product that has a sample available for sale.

Therefore these products may or may not be of my own choice, it depends on what samples are available in the store.

For this series, I will begin with this Etude House Moistfull Collagen set that I got a few weeks ago by purchasing Etude House products worth 2,000php.

img_6477

All these three products were placed in a small box and were given to me for free upon checkout. This whole kit is efficient for a quick skincare routine. Etude House is so generous with their freebies!

Here’s what I got to say for these products and my verdict:

Facial Freshener – This product serves as a toner. It has a thick consistency which I didn’t want my toner to have, and it totally reminds me of The Body Shop Drops of Light Essence Lotion that I usually put after the toner. Using this and using the Essence Lotion at the same time feels totally weird because I feel like I’m just applying the same product twice. However, this facial freshener has a sweet fragrance in which I’m neutral about but I’m pretty much sure some people would appreciate that scent.

To purchase or not to purchase? Nope. As I have said, I didn’t like its consistency for a toner. I would prefer applying products with watery consistency in the first few steps of my skincare routine.

Emulsion – I actually have this product in full size, I bought it before I had this set of samples (crazy, right?). This emulsion is also quite sticky so I only use a small coin-sized amount on my face and wait for it to dry or to to be at least absorbed by my skin before I go on with my next skincare step. I used to apply this in the morning before I apply my sunblock but it leaves my face sticky the whole day so I ditched applying this product in the morning and started using this at night instead.

To repurchase or not to repurchase? Nope. This moisturizer isn’t something I would tell people to completely avoid as I’ve noticed that it does help improve my facial complexion and it hydrates my skin well. But after using this product, I would still want to explore my other options for emulsion because I’m pretty much sure I can find something else that would suit my liking.

Cream – Of everything in this set, I think this is the one that I liked the most. This actually leaves the skin smooth after application. I think this product works best with the emulsion as they were formulated to be used together. It has a light creamy texture and the stickiness goes away after a few minutes. But I think I would only use this product at night with the emulsion.

To purchase or not to purchase? Probably. Since I already have the emulsion, I would probably purchase this too so I can enjoy using both products. I haven’t tried using this cream without the emulsion yet, so I don’t really know what it’s like with other products. However, if I didn’t have the full size emulsion, I wouldn’t immediately say yes for this cream, but it’s not a complete no. This product would most likely be in my list of options for facial cream.

Over all, I think the whole Moistfull Collagen line does stay true to its promise of giving your skin a youthful glow. After using all these products every night for one whole week, my face did look fresher than it was before, dark spots were lighter, skin complexion became smoother and cheeks were slightly bouncier. I think I’m starting to get that perfect korean complexion! Haha! Kidding. But rest assured, this line of products is great if you want softer, smoother, and younger looking skin. However, its stickiness did have a huge impact on me and kinda turned me off. This line isn’t my favorite from Etude but I would recommend this to people who wants positive results and wouldn’t be bothered by the stickiness of the product.

These products are best used for nightly routines.
